Hello Reader.
I’m back in the woods this week after a quick trip home to Green Bay. Okay, it was a full week home and it was long and hot. Haha. But it felt good to play in the garden and reset a few things. But the truth is, when I’m there, I miss the forest . . . the way the lake greets me in the morning, the rhythm of the wind in the trees, and the deep quiet.
Being back among the pines and towering oaks, I feel reconnected with the conversation we started last week about the space between what has been and what is yet to come.
That space can often feel tender and unsteady as we lean into the unknown and trust at new levels. During times such as this, I love leaning on the grounding and steady presence of the crystal allies.
For August, the collective crystal ally is Ruby . . . and I feel like its timing could not be more perfect.
Ruby + Rooting in the Midst of Change
Holding Ruby, it activates the most grounded part of me . . . the part that remembers I am held, even when I’m not certain where I’m going.
Ruby Speaks:
Plant yourself here.
Let your roots sink deep deep into the belly of Mother Earth as they drink from her rich soils.
You don’t need to know the full shape of what’s coming, but you do need to be steady enough to receive it.
Ruby invites us to sink into the journey and create space around the unfolding.
And most importantly, it reminds us that presence is the most powerful action we can take when we’re in transition.
A Moment With Ruby
Last week, during the Aquarius Full Moon Ceremony in the Sanctuary Circle, we journeyed with Ruby. As I sank in with Ruby, it activated the scent of roses and reminded me that pausing to 'smell the roses' and linger in the garden is exactly the nourishment my roots need right now.
As we root deeper into the Earth, we find steadiness.
As we lean into the open space of a portal, we create steadiness for what is next.
And with tenderness, it cultivate the courage to stay in the moment as we tend to what’s ready to grow instead of searching for what’s next.
So I invite you to pause, smell the roses, be present, sink your roots deep into the Earth, and linger in the garden.
It is time to be nourished as you tend to the space between.
Working With Ruby

- Hold a ruby during meditation. Breathe into your root and imagine energy flowing down, deep into the earth.
- Place a ruby on your altar or desk as a reminder to anchor your attention on what matters most right now.
- Carry a ruby in your pocket as a touchstone. Each time you feel it, pause and take a deep breath into your body. Sink your roots into the Earth and call yourself into the moment with love and compassion.

She is learning so many new things and LOVES her time in the woods just as much as Koda does. She has a circle of dog friends that she plays with every day. And she is truly a crystal pup. Goodness, she even has her own collection of stones. Ha! Of course, right?!
