Hello Reader.
This eclipse window has me reflecting on cycles and patterns in a much deeper way than I expected.
In particular, my attention was drawn back to the August 2017 solar eclipse. Chris and I had so much fun viewing and experiencing this eclipse at Cave-in-Rock in southern Illiniois. It's such a great memory, but I was curious why this particular eclipse was getting my attention . . . and then, I realized that 2017, like this year, was a 1 year in numerology, ha!
What do you remember about 2017? . . . I got curious and made a list. It was ROBUST. I packed my life with a bunch of adventures, new projects, and new beginnings. It was so much fun.
But when I look back now, I can also see that the foundation I created during that year was scattered.
A 'one' year in numerology is about new beginnings, and it is also about laying the groundwork for a nine-year cycle.
In 2017, I planted A LOT of new seeds, but I didn’t create time or space to consider how the root system would develop long-term or the nourishment it would need to thrive.
This year, during another 1 year (along with this potent eclipse season and welcoming the fiery energy of the Fire Horse), I am noticing an invitation to meet this energy differently than I have in the past.
My “new beginning” isn't inspiring me to launch a dozen new things or road-trip across the country (and back again, and again) . . . instead, it is opening the space to lay a more stable foundation for what already exists:
- a foundation that allows me to financially thrive,
- that prepares and supports me for the second half of life,
- that honors my nervous system,
- and that keeps me rooted, grounded, and in an intimate relationship with the earth.
As I’ve sat with this, a few core questions have been surfacing:
- Where am I still acting like I’m starting from scratch, when I’m actually standing on years of creation?
- What patterns are being illuminated to be released?
- What emotional weight have those patterns carried?
- And what kind of foundation do I truly want for this next nine-year cycle?
