The forest is shifting as summer winds down.
Colorful fall leaves have begun to drop one by one, leaving a natural confetti across our driveway. The air feels different . . . cooler, crisp, alive with the pulse of transition.
I just love summer in the forest.
It's refreshing, soothing, and opens a portal for the return to self.
Each year I arrive with an intention, a curiosity, a longing for growth . . . and as the season comes to a close, I find that longing has been answered. The insight emerges in ways I never could have imagined.
The Forest as Teacher
Each summer up here takes me on a journey of discovery. Sometimes that journey feels smooth, but often it’s bumpy, prompting me to push past my own edges of comfort, to stretch beyond what is safe and familiar, and to surrender into what I don’t yet know.
And, even in the midst of challenge, the forest offers pure magic.
It heals.
It transforms.
It reveals beauty in the raw and rugged.
And it asks for fortitude, reverence, and an open heart as we walk the season together.
This year has been all of that . . . and more.
As the summer nears its end and my time up here begins to close, I feel a deep homecoming within myself. I see my brightness, my life, my light, shining clearer than ever.
What’s Next
The softness of my summer slowdown has created the space to unearth what is next. And I am so excited to share a little glimpse with you.
Next week, I’ll be returning to my podcast with not only a new episode, but also a new name and a fresh look . . . an evolution that reflects both my own transformation and the changes unfolding in our world.
I cannot wait to share it with you.
A Soft Message to Close
This season has reminded me that every ending carries the seed of a beginning. The forest, in its turning, has mirrored my own.
And as the leaves fall, I am listening deeply, honoring the journey, and stepping forward with renewed clarity and light.
