Hello Reader.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the power of a pause . . . not just as a nice idea, but as a soul-deep necessity.
We live in a world that often tells us to keep pushing. That rest is indulgent. That we’ll lose momentum if we stop. That inspiration only comes from doing more. But what happens when the very things that once lit us up begin to feel . . . dim?
That’s where I found myself earlier this summer.
✨ I was overwhelmed and exhausted, but not in a way that a good night’s sleep could fix.
✨ My emotions felt delicate and tender.
✨ I even missed client appointments, something that is so unlike me.
✨ Things I once loved suddenly felt flat. My creativity felt like it had wandered off somewhere without me.
✨ I was stuck in a rut, quietly questioning everything.
The truth is, I wasn’t just tired, I was disconnected. Disconnected from my body, from the land, from inspiration, from my inner voice. My soul was calling out for something different… and the only answer was to pause.
I feel a little vulnerable sharing this.
Deep within me lives an old, familiar story…
One that says I should put on a bright smile, make a few jokes about feeling lazy, and push through just to get things done.
Maybe you know that story too?
But I’ve done that enough times to know: it does not work.
It doesn’t lead to clarity.
It doesn’t restore our soul.
And even further, it only takes us further away from ourselves.
What does work is giving ourselves permission to stop. To soften. To listen. To let the earth hold us while we remember who we are.
Maybe the pause we resist is the very portal we most need.
As I lean deeper into this energy, this is exactly what I'm feeling . . . the pause is the portal.
A Quiet Reawakening
Little by little this summer, something began to shift.
My night time dreams became more vivid and alive.
Messages started coming through again. Soft at first, then with more clarity.
I found myself waking in the morning, eager to journal, to listen, to receive.
My intuition was beginning to speak again. It got louder. More insistent. And it came with a spark of inspiration
One day, while working on a custom jewelry piece, the energy of inspiration landed. The piece I was working on became a seed for an entirely new collection, one that I’ll be sharing this fall. This collection brings with it a creative pulse of remembrance . . . inviting us to remember who we are.
This spark of inspiration is rippling through all areas of my work.
Even the podcast is evolving (again 😉 . . . did you know I began podcasting over 10 years ago?). My podcast has gone through several name changes since 2015, each one marking a new chapter. And now, it's preparing to shift again with a fresh voice, deeper roots, and a new sense of direction. I’ll be sharing more about that very soon.

This week, Clover is nearly ten months old!
She is learning so many new things and LOVES her time in the woods just as much as Koda does. She has a circle of dog friends that she plays with every day. And she is truly a crystal pup. Goodness, she even has her own collection of stones. Ha! Of course, right?!
