Today we’re celebrating a very special day . . . it’s Clover’s first birthday!
This little cutie has brought so much sweetness, light, and love into our lives. In this week’s podcast episode, I share more of her story from how she arrived at just the right time and the ways her presence continues to soften and open my heart.
Last week, I shared that the October crystal ally is Rhodochrosite. This week, I’m sinking deeper into conversation about this rose-colored stone from its origins, to its thread of matriarchal wisdom, and how it helps us find living balance between the feminine and masculine within.

In this episode, I explore how Rhodochrosite (from the Greek rhodon “rose” + chrosis “coloring”) invites the heart to open gently, petal by petal.
We’ll explore the feminine qualities it awakens, including receptivity, compassion, and nurturance, and how these qualities soften beautifully into a masculine that protects and steadies rather than controls.I also share more about Clover’s arrival and the way her presence continues to me about how love ripens in its own time.
A Note on the Moon + the Moment
Monday’s Full Moon in Aries felt different; it felt more like a point of new beginnings than one of release, as is typical with a full moon. It felt like it called for softness, and perhaps even a pause, and on the other side it offered clarity and courage, the kind that rises from the heart rather than from a sense of urgency.
Rhodochrosite's wisdom echoes this energy. It doesn’t rush us forward. Instead, it steadies us, reminding us that tenderness and strength belong together, and that new beginnings can be initiated with soft gentleness.
A Simple Practice for the Week
If you have a piece of Rhodochrosite, place it near your heart for a few minutes each day. Breathe in the image of a rose gently opening its petals.
Reflect upon these questions:
- What part of my heart is ready to soften today?
- What barriers are ready to be released?
- How can I further soften into my feminine wisdom and leadership?
